Eiman A. Eissa is an assistant professor in the Mass Communication Department, Qatar University. She earned her PhD from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, Cairo University, and her MA and BA degrees from the American University in Cairo in the field of Mass Communication. Her publications and conference participations focus on the portrayal of women in the media, advertising, educational media, sports media and consumer behavior. She has published a book about media convergence and another on public opinion. Her research interests include gender studies, consumer behavior, public opinion, and media effects.
